Information - Bookbinding for Sketchbooks, Journals & Notebooks
This workshop will explore bookbinding techniques for sketchbooks, journals or notebooks, including folding and stitching. We will encase our books in a range of hand printed and painted decorative papers.
It is suitable for anyone who wishes to practise a range of traditional hand-built book binding techniques that are suitable for further projects including photobooks, journals or gifts.
Full instructions and bring lists will be provided for the session. There will be a small charge of £6.00 for materials and kits payable on the day.
On the day, you may bring with you any personal book binding equipment such as bone/paper folder, awls, rulers/set squares, pencils and decorative papers if you have them, but there is no need to buy anything specially, as equipment with be available to borrow.
