Information - Blank Page – Cyanotype portraiture workshop with Gillian Allard

Join photographic artist Gillian Allard for this free creative workshop for 10-16 year olds at Chantry Library, as part of The Blank Page Project! Learn how to make photographs by combining digital processes with Victorian processes, to make framed personal artwork.

Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include a free lunch, drinks and snacks!

We will take creative photographs of objects supplied by the facilitator and photographs of nature depending on access. We will edit these photographs to arrive at the best result for the cyanotype process. Negatives will be made from our photographs – this will allow us to make Victorian style photographs using cyanotype papers. You will be able to select your favourite cyanotype to frame and take home as new artwork for your wall.
