Black Poplars: How to Save a Tree. Wednesday 28th October 2026
This is your opportunity to learn about one of our county’s rarest trees – the native black poplar. Tree warden and black poplar expert David Appleton will share with us the situation in Suffolk for this endangered species and show what we can do to help.
The talk starts at 7.30pm. Doors open just after 7pm
Location: Museum Street Methodist Church, Black Horse Lane, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 2EF. Entrance via Black Horse Lane!
There is a small car park outside the church which you may use free of charge while attending this talk. Otherwise there is on paid street parking nearby and there’s a big car park beside the Wolsey theatre (charges apply to both). And the venue is close to bus routes and the town centre.
Admission is only £4 per person. We can take cash or debit/credit card. The cost includes a tea or coffee in the interval.
Under 25s can come in free.
