Information - BAMBAATA: THE LAST DANCE

It’s time for one final celebration at The Baths as we say a bittersweet goodbye to one of Ipswich’s most energetic underground event brands. After three incredible years of building a community and filling dancefloors, Bambaata UK is hosting their final ever party: The Last Dance.

This isn’t just a night out; it’s a celebration of a movement that has pushed the boundaries of the local music scene. Expect a curated mixture of deep and acid house, bouncy garage, melodic techno, and old-school jungle to keep the energy high from the first beat until the very last.

A Massive Lineup for the Grand Finale

To make sure they go out with a bang, Bambaata UK has assembled an impressive roster of talent. Joining the final celebration are:

  • Sully
  • YT
  • DIGITAL
  • Charla Green
  • Tim Clay
  • Ham

Meet the Bambaata Residents

The heart of these events has always been the resident DJ crew—Ipswich’s most prolific selectors who have been digging through record crates to bring something unique to our town:

  • Yebsie: Bringing the weighty low-end with a mix of Dub, Garage, and Jungle.
  • Lochness: Focused on high-energy UK Garage and driving, bouncy Techno.
  • HZA: A multi-genre specialist known for multicultural influences and funky, quick-cut selections.
  • Omega: Dedicated to the raw sounds of Bassline, Jungle, and the darker shades of Garage.
  • Leo V: A digger of rare finds, spinning everything from Soulful House to Melodic Techno.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
