Information - A Midsummer Night’s Dream

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM by William Shakespeare
The Duke is getting married, but has a pre-wedding tiff with his bride-to-be; a quartet of lovers are at sixes and sevens; a motley group of local tradesmen is planning to put on a play for the Duke’s wedding, and they all happen to come together in a wood at mid-summer. But the wood is inhabited by faery folk and there’s trouble in faery land too, not helped by the antics of the mischievous Puck. Well, imagine how you might feel if you were transformed into a donkey and a beautiful faery queen came on to you?
Or is it all a dream?   A mid-summer night’s dream?
One of Shakespeare’s most magical, most popular comedies comes to The Gallery Studio, with a wonderful cast (watch this space), directed by Brian Theodore Ralph and with original live music created and played by Emily Bennett.
The perfect prelude to summer and a show all the family can enjoy.
(You don’t have to believe in faeries, but keep an open mind!)
