Information - The Pancakes, Sophie the Great, and friends

Join us for an evening with one of the region’s finest & most beloved bands, The Pancakes.

Silly, serious, surreal and downright infectious. this brilliant trio are one of SoapBox’s favourite bands of all time. With such classics as ‘Crazy Fingers’, ‘The Wonder of Glue’, ‘Im a Potato’ and ‘Mean Old Ken’ – we have loved them since the very first gig they played for us in 2012. Its been agggggggeeeeeessss since we hosted them, so we’ve gone ‘all out’ and booked a ‘proper’ venue, with ‘proper’ sound. That means we’ll all be able to REALLY hear and enjoy the outrageously magnificent wordsmithery from this superb trio.

Get a taste of this amazing band by watching their new youtube video to ‘Crazy Fingers’ online >>> HERE <<<

Support from the awesome: Sophie The Great, a super talented singer/songwriter from Ipswich.

Plus spoken word, poetry & comedy from: Jackie Montague, Cheyenne, Tülin Silverwind, and your host: Amy Wragg.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
