The Mayor of Ipswich’s Charity Ball

Step into a world of elegance, intrigue, and sophistication at the Mayor of Ipswich’s Annual Charity Ball. This year’s black-tie evening promises glamour, live entertainment, and a few surprises… all in support of two outstanding local charities: East Anglian Children’s Hospices (EACH) & Dora Brown.

  • Date: Friday, 6 March 2026
  • Time: Reception starts at 7:00pm
  • Venue: Ipswich Town Hall
  • Price: £75 per person or £700 for a table of 10

Evening Highlights

Your evening begins with a delightful drinks reception and canapés hosted by Councillor Stefan Long, Mayor of Ipswich. This is a wonderful chance to mingle, enjoy some tasty starters, and soak up the glamorous atmosphere.

Delicious Dining Experience

The dining experience is curated by the talented Jamie Lee Smith Catering, offering a decadent three-course meal:

Starter

Sourdough bruschetta topped with heritage tomatoes, fresh basil, caramelized red onions, and buffalo mozzarella, drizzled with a light chili oil. (Vegan & Gluten-Free options available)

Main Course

  • Fillet of beef served with fondant potatoes, butternut squash purée, carrot, parsnip, and green bean vegetable parcel with a rich beef jus (Gluten-Free)
  • Wild mushroom, fennel, and black olive puff pastry pizza topped with fresh rocket and ruby chard

Trio of Desserts

A delightful trio featuring:

  • Zesty lemon tart with fresh raspberries
  • Chocolate posset
  • Smoked cheddar cheese biscuit with red onion chutney and celery
