Information - The Importance of Almshouses in Suffolk
Dr Alison Pooley, from the Suffolk Sustainability Institute, will be talking about the importance of almshouses and her research on healthy, resilient communities.
Dr Pooley leads the Sustainable Healthy Communities theme within the University’s Suffolk Sustainability Institute. She has extensive higher education experience, particularly within architecture and the built environment.
Dr Pooley came to University of Suffolk in 2022 from the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales. Before starting her academic career, she was in architectural practice for several years, prior to which she worked as a housing officer in East London.
