Ipswich, are you ready to groove? We have a massive night of live music and vinyl coming your way this June. Local legends Pouch are teaming up with the incredible DJ Pipedream for an evening that promises to be packed with high energy, smooth rhythms, and non-stop dancing at The Church.
Meet the Band: Pouch
If you haven’t seen them yet, you’re in for a treat. Pouch is widely regarded as the best funk band “this side of Culpho.” This dynamic five-piece from Ipswich combines saxophone, drums, bass, guitar, and congas to create a sound that is impossible to sit still to. Playing a fast-paced, tight mix of funk, disco, and afro-beat, they “play’ut roight” every single time. Expect an energetic show that will keep you moving from the first beat to the last.
The Vinyl Vibes: DJ Pipedream
Setting the tone for the evening is DJ Pipedream, a vinyl-only specialist known for digging deep into the crates. Before the band takes the stage, he’ll be spinning a funky disco party to get the floor warmed up.
But the party doesn’t stop when the band finishes! DJ Pipedream will take the baton back to keep the room rocking until the very end of the night. His carefully curated sets span everything from global dance and hip-hop to house and the “funkier side of funk.”
