Stories, play and science for preschoolers
Mini Mansions is a hands-on session at Christchurch Mansion for preschool children and the grown-ups who bring them. Each one brings together stories, play, crafts and simple science, with families exploring the Mansion’s collections side by side.
December’s theme is Seasons, with activities inspired by the changes across the year. The emphasis throughout is on curiosity, communication and early learning.
Access
The main session takes place on the ground floor. Part of it may involve using the Mansion’s stairs, as there is no lift.
Good to know
Wednesday 2 December 2026. Two sessions: 10am–10.45am and 11.15am–12 noon. £3 per child; accompanying adults go free. For children aged 2½ to 4 with their parents, grandparents and carers, who must stay with their children throughout. Babies and younger siblings are welcome, though some activities may not suit children under 2½. Not suitable for larger nursery groups.
