Ipswich is preparing to deck the halls once again as the popular Christmas Fayre returns to the Town Hall, Corn Exchange and Cornhill in November.
Following a tree-mendous debut last year, the festive extravaganza organised by Ipswich Entertains will once again bring yuletide cheer, seasonal shopping and family fun to the heart of the town.
Taking place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026, this event will transform Ipswich Town Hall, the Corn Exchange and Cornhill into a magical winter wonderland packed with festive experiences for all ages.
Adding even more sparkle to the occasion, this year’s Christmas Fayre celebration will be officially opened by the Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Pat Bruce-Browne.
Visitors can then browse more than 60 stalls offering handcrafted gifts, stocking-fillers, decorations and seasonal treats from local makers and traders, while enjoying live performances from choirs, schools and community groups throughout the weekend.
For families, there’s a free festive trail to follow through the Town Hall and Corn Exchange, and festive film screenings at King Street Cinema. Blues fans can also see activities and displays from Ipswich Town Football Club, including a showcase of classic shirts from years gone by.
Children of all ages are invited to step into Ipswich Town Hall’s very own Lapland for a magical meet-and-greet with Father Christmas in a beautifully decorated Santa’s Grotto.
Christmas trees supplied by local sponsor Kiln Farm Nursery will help create an evergreen and extra-special magical atmosphere throughout the venue.
Entry to the Christmas Fayre costs just £2 per adult, with children aged under 14 admitted free. Pre-booking at Ipswich Town Hall’s Christmas Fayre is recommended to avoid queues. Santa’s Grotto tickets are available separately at Santa’s Grotto – Ipswich Town Hall’s Christmas Fayre and should be booked in advance due to expected high demand.
