Information - Ipswich Dragon Boat Festival 2026

The Dragons are Coming!

Our 7th Dragon Boat Race returns to Ipswich Waterfront in 2026, and this year it’s set to be bigger and better! We’re extending around the quay, bringing even more colour, fun, and excitement – and we want to make a splash! (Figuratively speaking, of course.)

Our aim is for 35 teams to take part this year, competing in heats that build up to a grand finale, bringing entertainment, festivities, and a fantastic atmosphere to the quay.

The money raised will go towards our vital specialist support service, supporting children in Suffolk. The waiting list continues to grow, and the rate of disclosures is at an all-time high. We want to be there for every child who has been a victim of sexual abuse. This is where we need you to sign up for our Dragon Boat Race – it’s not just an amazing team-building event, our children urgently need your support.

No experience is required – you’ll be given all the guidance and support you need. All you need is 10 paddlers and 1 drummer and your team is ready to go!

Are you our 2026 champion?
