A Night of High-Octane Noise at The Smokehouse

Looking to turn up the volume on your Saturday night? We’ve got just the ticket! Head down to The Smokehouse this May for a double-bill of pure energy, grit, and noise. Whether you’re a fan of heavy riffs or high-speed punk, this lineup is guaranteed to keep the adrenaline pumping.

Meet Grunk: The Ten-Legged Noise Merchants

Lurching all the way from the “wastelands of Rugby town,” Grunk are bringing their unique brand of heavy, nihilistic sound to Ipswich. Often described (by themselves, mostly!) as “necropunk,” their music is a powerful feast of noise. Drawing influences from the likes of Iron Monkey, Pig Destroyer, and the legendary Slayer, Grunk deliver a raw and unapologetic performance that heavy music fans won’t want to miss.

Introducing Baby Bullets

Kicking things off are Baby Bullets, a band forged in the digital shadows of Instagram who have since burst into the real world with incredible force. Their sound sits firmly with one foot in punk and the other in hardcore, all tied together with a groovy, progressive edge. Their live energy is legendary—as the band says, it’s enough to “knock your nan out of her chair!” It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s the perfect way to get the crowd moving.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
