Information - Accelerating Action for Women’s Equality: What Does Success Mean To You?

As part of our International Women’s Day 2025 celebrations, the University of Suffolk is delighted to announce this collaborative and empowering event.

This year’s event centres around the thought-provoking question: What does success mean to you? To explore this theme, we have curated an inspiring panel of individuals from diverse industries, age groups, and backgrounds, each ready to share their unique journeys, perspectives, and definitions of success.

For the first time, this event is being co-hosted by the University of Suffolk Careers & Enterprise Team and the University of Suffolk Business Engagement Team, in collaboration with Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, The SU, and EmpowerUS—a groundbreaking women-first business development community connecting University of Suffolk students to ongoing external support for career development.

This event is designed to spotlight the many pathways to success while highlighting the trials, triumphs, and motivations that have shaped the lives of our esteemed panellists. Guests will hear from inspiring voices, including corporate leaders, sporting achievers, construction and logistics experts, publishing pioneers, and University of Suffolk alumni who continue to make a mark in their fields.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from, meet and network with SU society leads, alumni, and community-focused career developers, creating connections that could inspire and shape future endeavours.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
