Information - Climate Café

This is a place for people to come together within the local community who share a concern about human-induced climate change and hope for a better future for our planet. The Climate Café will be a place to discuss these hopes and concerns with others and in the process gain and provide encouragement, support and solidarity.

The CHIp Climate Café does not aim for any specific outcome beyond bringing people together so we can all feel less isolated in our concerns about climate change. We will not be debating the scientific consensus – human-induced climate change is real, and it is an existential problem for us all.

Everyone is welcome regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, immigration status, carbon-footprint or experience/knowledge about activism or climate change.

You will not be lectured, you will not be made to feel guilty.

The Climate Café will be a place to share grief, fear, despair and sadness but also a place for hope, action and local connection. We hope, each week, to empower and energise each other so we can face the future with hope and confidence.
